Kamala Harris, The First Women Vice President.

On this day, January 21, 2021, we have hit a major point that should go in the history books. Vice President, Kamala Harris, who was sworn in just this morning, is the first-ever women Vice President of the United States. This is a huge step for the United States. Tons of voices have been speaking on this all over social media. On Twitter, we have The New Yorker Tweeting about how Kamala Harris said “Every office I’ve run for I was the first to win. First-person of color. First woman. The first woman of color. Every time,” To make such a step in history is astounding.

We also see Oprah Winfrey weighing in on the conversation as well. She tweeted, “In tears watching this extraordinary moment for women in the U.S. and the world. Vice President Kamala Harris”

Here is another tweet from Sherrie Shepard, for women of color, this is a huge step in American history. She even said, “Today, America, was a good day!”. I think a lot of us can completely agree with this statement.

Another platform, The Color Of Change, Tweeted about this historic moment. In a country with such a past of racism, segregation, and brutality against those of color. This an astounding way to start 2021.

Lastly, Demi Lovato also tweeted from the capital. This is a time to unite, heal, and get to work. We can now get back to making America what it used to be!

As stated in the beginning. Today is a mark for history. America has come so far this last year and these next steps to be taken will bring it even closer to greatness.
